  • Learning

    What will my child learn?

Our programs are based on the Multiple Intelligence Theory and on the premise that children learn in many different ways. Each child will be assessed to determine their learning style and the program tailored to fit the needs of the individual.

    • Infants: Promote developmental gain in muscle development (physical milestones), speech, brain development and in exploring their world.
    • Toddlers: Promote communication as well as focusing on literacy skills, art, counting/math, science, shapes/colors, motor development and music. Our instructors also teach important social skills such as patience, respect for others and friendship. We feel health and hygiene are important so, children are taught hand washing techniques while being exposed to the potty on a daily basis.
    • Preschool 2’s: Promote important language, musical, motor, logical and social/emotional development.
    • Preschool 3’s: Pre-reading, writing, cultural studies, music, science, math, language, art, character building and social and motor skills are the fundamentals.
    • VPK: We cover all subject areas including literacy, language, art, science, cultural studies, mathematics as well as health and hygiene.
    What makes your program different?

We are dedicated and degreed educators that have worked with children over 20 years. We have the education and skill to apply many different learning/teaching techniques that will help your child be successful. Our main priority is always the children and their families; that is why we have low amounts of children in each class with a well-qualified teacher. We were one of the first to incorporate American Sign Language in our daily curriculum and we have therapy dogs! Mindworks was born out of the owners’ passion for children and their development. That is why we are on site directing our own school.

Are you a VPK (Voluntary Pre-K) provider?

Yes, we have been a top scoring provider since we have opened!

Are your students prepared for Kindergarten upon graduation?

Yes! The most common remarks we hear is that the children have to be given more challenging work in Kindergarten or are placed higher level class because they have so many developed skills.

  • Nutrition

Do you provide meals and snacks?

We do provide snacks in the a.m. and p.m. as well as bottled water throughout the day. We ask that parents bring a lunch in an insulated lunch box with an ice pack. Mindworks does NOT provide meals.

  • Payment

No, we do not receive any funding from the government for any student at Mindworks. All clients are private pay; however, a financial aid award may be available if you qualify.
